Chapter 8: IP-65 Option

User Electrical

On the back of the Joint 1 cover, the user electrical connector is filled with a removable plug at

the factory. See the following figure. If you use this connector, you must provide a seal (see

note below) at the connection to prevent moisture from entering the robot.

NOTE:The user electrical connector (DB-25) on the back of the Joint 1 cover

requires a gel seal gasket to maintain an adequate seal. The gasket is supplied in

the accessory kit.

The user electrical connector on the outer link is accessible with the cover removed. See the

following figure for the location of the internal connector.
